Volume Rendering with Marching Cube Algorithm
The volume rendering is one of the most useful techniques in medical visualizations, computer-aid diagnosis and other related areas. Among all the different approaches to realize it, the marching cube algorithm is the most popular one. This report is to present our approach to implement this algorithm. According to the algorithm, the whole volume data is divide into small cubes, each of them co...

متن کاملA survey of the marching cubes algorithm
A survey of the development of the marching cubes algorithm [W. Lorensen, H. Cline, Marching cubes: a high resolution 3D surface construction algorithm. Computer Graphics 1987; 21(4):163–9], a well-known cell-by-cell method for extraction of isosurfaces from scalar volumetric data sets, is presented. The paper’s primary aim is to survey the development of the algorithm and its computational pro...
متن کاملFlow Reduction Marching Cubes Algorithm
The article focuses on modification of traditional Marching cubes algorithm for medical applications. Main disadvantage of the traditional algorithm is size of models. A reduction process has been added to the MC to produce much smaller models. The reduction process is applied during the MC, after processing of each input data layer. Resulting models are 4-5 times smaller in only doubled time.
متن کاملCube-based diffusion algorithm
We study molecular diffusion in (linear) nanopores with different types of roughness in the so-called Knudsen regime. Knudsen diffusion represents the limiting case of molecular diffusion in pores, where mutual encounters of the molecules within the free pore space may be neglected and the time of flight between subsequent collisions with the pore walls significantly exceeds the interaction tim...
